Is that even possible? I get that itch, right around Dec. 15th so begin to plan a dietary restrictive January. It’s deeply ingrained, everywhere you look, and plays right into my all/nothing mentality (fun side note; I nearly created a WHOLE BLOG dedicated to 30 day challenges… just doing them, one after another after another. Can you even imagine how hard on my body that would have been?) But this year, I saw it all for what it was.
Indoctrination to the church of diet. Further solid propaganda that smaller is better. Food is real or fake, clean or dirty, and in turn. . . me too. And instead of feeling guilted back into that unhealthy relationship with body, food, and its morality, I saw it for what it was. . . Made Up.
So for this year, I’m spending 30 day’s delving DEEP into what self care means, why it’s important, why we all need it, and how I can cultivate (and help others create) a practice of self care that makes your life feel like it’s For You.
Starting tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a prompt each day of January on my instagram, and on the Abundant30 facebook page, there will be space for you there to share your responses or to use them to do that work privately.
I’ll also be creating a weekly podcast that will delve a little deeper into each prompt, why it works, how to put it into practice, as well as what I am doing within those words to find more understanding of self care in my life.
So, for this January, for 2019 (and like, forever.) I want to take that deep desire to Reset (ps. we will be talking about what that desire is, and maybe where it comes from?) and using it to grow bigger, softer, and more kind hearted towards myself and others. Instead of harder, smaller, and less full.
