Real Food Kids Get Excited About

Feeding little ones can feel like a puzzle — one day they love something, the next it's "yuck." Here you'll find the recipes that have passed the toughest taste-testers in our house: Charlie and the girls. Everything is gluten-free, dairy-free, and made with whole-food ingredients that don't sacrifice flavor.

Many of these recipes double as homeschool projects. Baking together teaches measuring, patience, and the joy of creating something from scratch.

Homeschooling in the Kitchen

Some of our best learning moments happen around the mixing bowl. Measuring flour becomes a math lesson, watching dough rise is science, and reading a recipe together builds literacy. The Carrot Cake Pumpkin Muffins were born on a rainy Bellingham morning when we needed both a snack and a hands-on activity.

Baking With Kiddos

Getting kids into the kitchen doesn't have to be stressful. Start with forgiving recipes like the Chocolate Biscotti — the dough is sturdy, the steps are simple, and the payoff is huge. Expect a little mess, a lot of taste-testing, and memories that stick longer than any worksheet.

Our rule: everyone gets a job. Even the littlest hands can pour pre-measured ingredients or press the mixer button. It's about building confidence and connection, one batch at a time.
